SUMMARY OF GOALS AND OBJECTIVES OF THE POSITION

• Performs custodial duties in offices, warehouses, manufacturing areas, and other interior and exterior building spaces across all JELD-WEN plants and facilities.
• Completes select production activities and operates machinery associated with JELD-WEN product lines.
• Holds greater knowledge and responsibility than General Production I and II positions.
• May provide guidance to General Production I and II employees.
• Works closely with management and skilled trade positions to perform more complex duties.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES / ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Demonstrates advanced knowledge of organizational goals, objectives, policies, and procedures.
• Collaborates with all levels of the organization to coordinate work requiring skilled trade workers (Maintenance positions).
• Contacts and schedules vendors or contractors for building repairs and emergencies that cannot be handled internally.
• Communicates repair needs to supervisory staff and logs them as required.
• Uses appropriate cleaning equipment and performs routine maintenance on building interiors and exteriors.
• Provides guidance to, or works directly with, General Production personnel to complete maintenance duties.
• Performs all duties safely, using appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses, earplugs, masks, and steel‑toed footwear.
• Maintains work areas and equipment in a clean, orderly condition and follows all plant, facility, and OSHA safety guidelines.
• Reports unsafe conditions to appropriate supervision.
• Performs additional duties as assigned by management.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• May be required to sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• Must be able to clean facilities and lift or move office equipment, stock, and parts in production or maintenance areas.
• Reasonable accommodation under the ADA may be considered on a case-by-case basis.
