Interim HR Advisor

Onsite role in Penrith, Cumbria 

Are you a hands-on HR professional who enjoys working closely with managers, building relationships on the shop floor, and helping people perform at their best? 

We're looking for an experienced HR Advisor to join our Penrith manufacturing site on a 6-month fixed-term contract. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in supporting managers and employees, driving positive employee relations, and helping create a high-performing workplace culture. 

What impact you will make: 

• Be a trusted HR partner for managers, providing practical advice and guidance on a wide range of people matters. 

• Lead employee relations cases, including investigations, disciplinary, grievance and absence management processes. 

• Coach and develop managers to build confidence and capability in managing performance, attendance and employee wellbeing. 

• Build strong relationships across the site through regular floor walks and visible, proactive HR support. 

• Support recruitment activities including interviewing, onboarding, probation, training and other HR administration activities to deliver a positive employee experience. 

What you need to succeed: 

• Previous experience in an HR Advisor or HR Generalist role ideally within a manufacturing, industrial, logistics, engineering or other fast-paced operational environment. 

• Strong employee relations knowledge and a good understanding of UK employment law. 

• Experience supporting managers within a manufacturing, industrial or operational environment. 

• Excellent communication, coaching and relationship-building skills. 

• A professional, proactive and confidential approach to HR.
