Role Summary and Purpose

Managing the technical door product portfolio in Germany, supporting creation and execution of the product line strategy and delivering growth above market


Critical Performance Objectives

  • Supporting the Product Line Manager in creation and delivery of product line strategy for technical doors
  • Implementing and delivering category product plans through close collaboration with local cross-functional teams
  • Managing the product portfolio throughout the lifecycle, focusing on delivery of both revenue and profitability goals


Key Accountabilities / Responsibilities

  • To ensure adherence with all compliance standards and operate with integrity at all times.
  • Support the Product Line Manager in creation of product line strategy and annual budgets
  • Identify opportunities for new products & solutions, develop outline value propositions and champion new projects through Gate 0
  • Manage the process of product retirement, including exit plans, stock & SKU management
  • Define the price & service offer for all new products
  • Identify and implement actions to optimise contribution margin through the lifecycle
  • Lead the product launch process, ensuring effective delivery of internal training, external marketing activities and product setup in all necessary systems
  • Understand legal & regulatory requirements and their impact on the product offering
  • Monitor and report on competitor and market activities to provide actionable insights
  • Provide timely and relevant product reporting for senior management
  • Support and ensure adherence to relevant business processes, such as Tollgate & IBP
  • Perform other duties assigned



Experience / Knowledge

  • Previous experience of Product Management, ideally in the building materials or interior design industries
  • Experience of working in a multi-national, matrix organisation
  • Experience of working with certified or regulated products
  • Strong communication skills


Education / Qualifications

  • Degree in business or a related technical field


Language Skills

  • Must have professional working proficiency in both written and spoken English and German
