JELD-WEN is currently seeking a Engineering and Innovation Manager (m/f/d)- DACH to join our growing team.
Engineering Leadership:
- Oversee the engineering team and project pipeline, ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
- Develop and implement engineering processes and standards which align with European frameworks, governance, and legal compliance.
- Manage the engineering budget and work with the European team to prioritise resource allocation.
- Recruit, develop, and mentor engineering talent.
- Help JELD-WEN build business ethically and safely by developing projects which adhere to and meet local and European compliance standards.
Innovation Strategy:
- Support the Development and own the execution of an innovation pipeline that aligns with the company's overall business goals.
- Identify emerging technologies, understand market trends, and help shape future horizons of innovation.
- Foster a culture of outcomes-focussed innovation and creativity within the engineering team that deliver business value.
- Collaborate with cross-functional regional teams to identify and develop new product and service opportunities.
Technical Expertise:
- Provide technical guidance and support to engineering teams.
- Stay up to date on the latest engineering technologies and best practices.
- Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards, regulations and delivers projects to market specification and customer need.
- Collaborates with Manufacturing Operations, Product Management, Marketing and Sales, to establish appropriate product specifications, to assist in customer-focussed improvement activities, and to address local product performance opportunities.
- Evaluate and support New Product Development process and standard KPIs along with developing other key processes within the broader business, ensuring European and Global alignment.

Education / Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field.
- 8+ years of experience in engineering management or a similar role.
- Proven track record of leading and motivating engineering teams.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to think strategically and creatively.
- Experience with project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).
Language Skills
- Must be fluent in both written and spoken German and English.
