Role Summary & Purpose

This is a key role in the Application and Data Services Center of Excellence for Germany providing services in the ERP area, AS/400 specifically. Its purpose is to deliver and expand services to existing and new markets and possible countries along our company vision.

 

Critical Performance Objectives

 

  • System and Application – Ensure availability of system and application and collaborate with IT Ops & Infrastructure and external service providers.
  • Data Services – Ensure availability of data and collaborate with Sales, Product Management and Marketing organization and external service providers.
  • Project Management – Manage projects according to the Jeld-Wen Project Management methodology together with IT PMO and all involved stakeholders.
  • People – Manage team to work against set deadlines and agreed, prioritized scope.

 

Key Accountabilities / Responsibilities

  • To ensure adherence with all compliance standards and operate with integrity at all times.
  • The ERP Team Lead will be accountable for all Incident-, Change- and Project Management activities in his area of responsibility for Germany.
  • This includes System and Application Management with the goal to achieve availability to set JELD-WEN standards and customer requirements.
  • Being responsible for Team Management and Development in clear goal setting and individual personal team member development.
  • An integral part are the internal and external SOX Compliance Management activities on a periodic (bi yearly) and regular (monthly) basis.
  • In anticipation of the planned SAP S/4 Hana implementation documentation of as is situation is mandatory.
  • Manage internal/external stakeholders by prioritizing demand and communicating effectively
  • Perform all other duties as assigned

 

Experience / Knowledge

  • Subject matter expert in the topics of ERP solutions, data management, data quality, batch and real-time system integration.
  • Deep knowledge in data integration and modelling with ERP product suites, preferably AS/400 and/or SAP.
  • Minimum 5 years experience in support, enhance, develop and constantly improve the provision of data along relevant value streams, e.g. Quote to Cash (QtC).
  • Minimum 3 years proven track record as team lead (min. team size 3-5).
  • Demonstrated experience working collaboratively with business users and senior-level management to determine information needs and effective delivery methods.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to balance multiple tasks with high attention to details.
  • Flexible and capable of prioritizing competing tasks and timelines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in a complex IT/engineering/technical environment, documenting complex technical solutions, and delivering technical presentations to diverse audiences.

 

Education / Qualifications

  • Bachelor or Master degree in computer science/informatics, business informatics, engineering, business engineering essential
  • Project management skills in classic (waterfall) and agile (Scrum/Kanban) methods advantageous
  • Background in discrete manufacturing environment advantageous

 

Language Skills

  • Must be fluent in both written and spoken English and German
