Role Summary

To develop and manage the digital marketing function for JELD-WEN in Central Europe and Germany and support the marketing and sales teams in all aspects of digital marketing activity.

 

The Digital Marketing Manager will implement the European Digital Strategy, develop brand awareness, generate inbound traffic and cultivate an online presence that drives commercial value for the business. The Digital Marketing Manager should be a highly motivated individual with experience and a passion for developing engaging digital campaigns, content and first-class user journey experiences.

The Digital Marketing Manager CE reports to the Digital Director, Europe and works closely with the European Digital Team and the Marketing Managers

 

Critical Performance Objectives

  • Growing site traffic for the Jeld-Wen Europe brand websites
  • Lead generation to our retail, trade network and direct selling customers 
  • Grow and refine email marketing use
  • Establish and build up brand social media communities

 

Key Accountabilities

  • Plan and co-ordinate all digital marketing campaigns, including SEO/SEM, marketing database, email, social media and advertising campaigns (Adwords, display, etc)
  • Manage our brand & regional agency partners
  • Supervise brand & regional social media activity in relation to performance objectives
  • Measure and report performance of all digital marketing campaigns, and assess against goals (ROI and KPIs)
  • Identify trends and insights, and optimize spend and performance based on the insights
  • Brainstorm new and creative digital growth strategies with local marketing contacts
  • Utilise strong analytical ability to help evaluate end-to-end customer experience across multiple channels and customer touch points and be able to integrate the digital journey to create a seamless experience
  • Plan, execute, and measure experiments and conversion tests
  • Collaborate with local teams to create landing pages and optimize user experience and journeys
  • Collaborate with agencies and other vendor partners
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and digital techniques. Provide thought leadership and perspective for local adoption where appropriate

 

 

Experience / Knowledge

  • 4+ years working in a digital marketing role, 1+ years managing a team or similar leadership experience
  • Demonstrable experience leading and managing SEO/SEM, marketing database, email, social media and/or display advertising campaigns
  • Experience in identifying target audiences and devising digital campaigns that engage, inform and motivate
  • Experience with email marketing and email marketing platforms preferred
  • Applied knowledge of Web Content Management Systems
  • Good knowledge of Google Analytics, Webmaster Tools, and SEO (Moz, SEM Rush) tools
  • Knowledge of copy that converts through short-form social, email and website content (titles, CTA’s, headlines)
  • Excellent writing skills in German and a good communicator in English

 

Education / Qualifications

  • University level qualification or equivalent in digital or marketing field

 

Language Skills

  • Must be fluent in both written and spoken German
  • Must be confident writing and speaking English
