Certification Manager (m/f/d) -- German speaking / remote

JELD-WEN is currently seeking a Certification Manager (m/f/d) -- German speaking / remote to join our growing team.

Job Overview:
As the Senior Product Certification Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the regional product certification and compliance to national and CE standards for our organisation. Responsible for managing the Central European certification portfolio, you will be instrumental in aligning our products with relevant legislations, quality standards, and functionality within the European Economic Area. This key position focuses on simplifying and optimising the certification process through national Certification, CE marking and harmonisation of products and portfolio.
 

Role Summary

• Manage the certification portfolio across Europe, ensuring effective management and compliance.
• Provide foresight on regulatory impacts for technical products and define certification requirements for projects.
• Own product labeling and CE marking topics, acting as the sole interface with accredited third parties.
• Drive compliance activities, including onboarding, case assessments, and implementation of corrective actions.
• Collaborate with internal departments and external stakeholders to ensure ethical, safe, and compliant product delivery.

Your Key Responsibilities

• Manage the regional certification portfolio, ensuring products meet specifications and comply with regulations.
• Identify, mitigate, and prevent product compliance issues, supporting audits and production control.
• Represent JELD-WEN in technical committees and norm forums at the EU level.
• Be the expert for German specific approvals and certification methodologies
• Collaborate with R&D to align project scopes with legislative and compliance requirements.
• Expand CE marked product offerings within the EU product portfolio based on harmonised norms.
• Stay informed about new legal demands and building regulations impacting the product portfolio.
• Create and manage certification roadmaps and tactical plans in collaboration with Product Management and R&D, aligning with budget.
• Provide technical guidance to procurement and quality, ensuring new products meet certification limitations.
• Spearhead improvements in documentation and specification controls, including integration of the Central region in to JW Europe digital platforms and processes

Your Profile

• Experience in certification and compliance in the building goods industry or regulatory agencies.
• Good knowledge of CE norms and national norms (e.g., BS, DIN, Ö-Norm) within the EU Economic Area.
• Understanding of Building Regulations throughout Central Europe, with expertise in German Regulation and Building Standards.
• Familiarity with design requirements and product specifications in the approval and certification processes.
• Budget management experience and ability to optimise spend and delivery timelines.
• Degree in Technical or economic study (MSc, BSc, Diploma, MBA, etc.)
• Fluent German and English
