Purpose of Role
Under the general supervision of the Office Manager/Materials Manager, the Production Planning Coordinator position supports the operation by conducting various administrative duties across multiple departments with limited oversight. This can include processing of orders and paperwork, submitting purchase orders, transacting in the ERP, keeping records, distributing communications, and other duties as needed. In addition, they will drive Continuous Improvement initiatives as it relates to plant operations in conjunction with JELD-WEN’s Mission Statement and Key Performance Indicators. They will be expected to work safely and live the JELD-WEN values.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintains a safe, clean, and organized work environment and adheres to all JELD-WEN policies and procedures
- Acts as process owner for suppliers that perform in house restocking of supplies and services for the office, breakroom, first-aid, and janitorial.
- Provides general administrative support to various departments including safety, production, IT, logistics, quality and R&D
- Identifies orders ready for production release and distributes them to the floor
- Processes order kickbacks from sales request or from the floor
- Processes jig requests for repair or replacement
- Issues purchase orders for assigned suppliers
- Assists others with purchase order placement as needed
- Posts important corporate communications to internal monitors for viewing by workforce
- Serves as a backup for scheduling and validation
- Maintains professional communication with all levels as needed to complete daily duties with accuracy and with adherence to policy
- Participates in continuous improvement activities as required
- Suggests improvement opportunities to leadership
- Other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Previous experience performing the above duties in a manufacturing setting is highly desired but not required
- Must have strong attention to detail, be highly organized and produce accurate work
- Ability to work independently and closely follow directions is essential
- Proficiency with a computer is required
- Must be able to communicate professionally at all levels of the company
- Available to work periodic mandatory weekends and overtime
- Capable of sitting, standing, and walking for extended periods of time
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds

Expected pay for this role is between $22.45 to $33.70 per hour and is based on experience and qualifications.
