The Health & Safety Coordinator position is a full-time position that supports the reduction of work-related injuries through the implementation and administration of site safety policies, analysis of safety data, and completion of safety audits.


Essential Functions

  • Establishes a culture of safety at assigned location by conducting and documenting required OSHA Trainings for New Hires, Equipment Training, and other applicable OSHA trainings.
  • Conducts and documents regular jobsite inspections, providing corrective action plans as necessary.
  • Assists Managers in the implementation of safety policies, performing incident investigations and root cause analysis as necessary.
  • Analyzes safety data and performs trend analysis; providing reports and safety metrics to the Safety Manager and recommending changes necessary to achieve established safety goals.
  • Assists in the development of safety policies, training programs, strategies, plans and procedures.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.


Required Education, Experience and Physical Abilities:

  • A minimum of six (6) years combined educational and work experience in the field of manufacturing
  • Knowledge of government regulations as they apply to OSHA, EPA, DOT, and Workers’ Compensation
  • Must have a proven ability to reduce and control OSHA recordable and non-recordable injuries
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with excellent follow through
  • Ability to meet firm deadlines while working as a team as well as independently
  • Knowledge and manual skills to personally disable machinery for repairs and adjustments
  • Ability to lift to 50 lbs., squat, kneel, use ladders, and bend to physically maintain safety measures on machines such as Lock Out Tag Out
  • Completes other duties as assigned


Preferred Education and Experience

  • OSHA 30 Hour for General Industry is preferred
  • OSHA 500 or 501 certification is preferred
  • First Aid/CPR Trainer Certified is preferred
  • Experience in working at heights is desired
  • Forklift experience preferred.
