Job Title: National Account Manager (NAM), Pro, Windows & Patio

Reports To: VP of Sales, THD

 

THE ROLE

 

The National Account Manager (NAM) will work with The Home Depot to build long-term, strategic partnerships. This role requires a range of skills from closing sales and nurturing relationships to strategic planning and cross-functional leadership. This role is responsible for driving Pro, Windows & Patio sales, profitability, and market share with The Home Depot in the United Sates.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. 

 

Principle Duties and Responsibilities

 

  • Achieve pro, windows & patio revenue and support cost targets for The Home Depot.
  • Manage and prioritize new sales and marketing initiatives to increase top line sales and profitability for both JELD-WEN and THD.
  • Create short- and long-term account strategies to grow current business, obtain new business and successfully penetrate under-developed markets.
  • Communicate with millwork buyers regarding performance of existing programs, implementation of new programs, and new opportunities.
  • Develop and sustain relationships across THD merchandising, replenishment, marketing and field support teams.
  • Be a products, service, and installation knowledge expert.
  • Understand and communicate THD metrics and processes while developing strategies that are win-win for both companies.
  • Collaborate with internal cross-functional partners to manage all aspects of the business including channel strategy, product line reviews, promotional planning, product road mapping / differentiation, data analytics, profitability analysis, and marketing / commercialization
  • Drive integrated business planning for THD doors by collaborating with THD cross functional teams and Jeld-Wen demand planning on sales forecast for existing programs, new program launches
  • Improve and update marketing efforts regularly and assist in the development of all Point of Purchase (POP) for specific product lines.
  • Coordinate with the territory field team to develop, prioritize and drive execution of key initiatives.
  • Utilize the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) program to plan activities, manage accounts, manage contacts, identify and track opportunities, manage leads and communicate pertinent information.
  • Develop ecommerce strategy to drive continued improvement and growth
  • Manage all product pricing, programs and rebates.
  • Manage projects, requests for information and any other business items as requested by leadership.

 

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

 

  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Ability to analyze customer point of sales and external data to understand trends and make recommendations.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals and effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Demonstrated ability to retain & nurture key relationships over time.
  • Superior communication skills to present concepts & ideas to all stakeholders.
  • Apply superior presentation skills & sense of timing to push back when necessary, and negotiate agreements that will grow the lifetime value of JELD-WEN’s relationship with The Home Depot.
  • Manage relationships at all levels within The Home Depot, and inside JELD-WEN with confident command and respect for all stakeholders.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook, Customer Relationship Management software, Expense Reporting Program, and Internet Web Browser.
  • 5+ years of Home Center, Millwork, Pro, Windows & Patio industry experience is preferred
  • Travel required: 30% or greater
  • Location:  Atlanta, GA or Charlotte, NC

 

Education and Experience

 

  • Bachelors’ degree (B.A.) or equivalent from four-year college; or minimum of ten years related sales experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience preferably in the window and door industry.
  • Experience and success using a strategic approach that will achieve short-term objectives and maintain a priority for the long-term relationship with The Home Depot.
