THE ROLE

 

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  • The primary function of this role is to drive existing and new business opportunities and growth for the company and be the primary contact for all assigned national accounts
  • Achieve sales plans and realize market share targets by creating and executing business plans that align with goals 
  • Develop, recommend and present new items and programs to increase brand presence and assortment 
  • Analyze metrics and tools to identify new opportunities and strategies to drive business 
  • Work cross-functionally with Product Line Managers, Marketing, IT, Operations, Customer Service, Finance and Sales teams to support accounts 
  • Collaborate with Product Line Managers to identify and implement best sales growth opportunities for channel 
  • Build consistency and alignment with existing customers
  • Manage the sales and service required to ensure all aspects of account management are handled promptly and efficiently 
  • Research current customer trends and best practices to gain efficiencies where applicable and to keep up with ever-changing customer expectations 
  • Recommend pricing and rebate structures for account opportunities 
  • Manage and deliver on expense budgets associated with assigned accounts 
  • Develop and monitor competitive landscape and provide direction/guidance on how to win new business relative to competitive set 
  • Review contracts, customer documentation, and rebate structures with leadership and legal department 

 

Minimum Requirements

  • Outstanding sales skills, including Salesforce utilization
  • Ability to develop goals and implement procedures to achieve them
  • Strong relationship-building and networking skills
  • Solid business acumen to identify profitable opportunities
  • Minimum of 5+ years of progressive sales experience with demonstrated sales growth results

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Building materials industry knowledge
  • Bachelor’s degree
