Interior door order picker works as part of a team to ensure interior door slabs/bifolds are properly picked and packaged for shipment. Attention to detail while keeping detailed records, while ensuring the quantity and quality of merchandise. This individual is required to be licensed to use powered forklift, which may be used when picking orders, and moving to designated staging areas. A successful candidate must have a high level of work commitment, attention to detail and the ability to learn and follow procedures.
Position Responsibilities:

Picking Interior Doors: Pick interior door orders from stock location and stack on lift based on individual work order/pick tickets

Inspect Products: Examine doors or components for defects or damages to ensure they meet quality standards before packaging.

Package Items: Use appropriate packaging materials such as cardboard, poly wrap, or crating materials to safely and securely package large, often heavy, items for transit.

Label and Document: Accurately apply shipping labels, and any necessary product information, and complete required paperwork to track shipping details

Material Handling: Transport finished products throughout the facility using manual effort or powered equipment like pallet jacks or forklifts.

Stage and Load Shipments: Organize and move packaged doors to the shipping area, and assist with the movement of goods throughout warehouse.

Maintain Work Area: Keep the work area and equipment clean, organized, and compliant with health and safety protocols.

Experience/Knowledge Required:

Physical Stamina: The role is often physically demanding, requiring the ability to stand for long periods, perform repetitive tasks, and lift up to 50-75 pounds.

Attention to Detail: Essential for ensuring order accuracy, correct labeling, and quality control of products.

Safety Orientation: Must follow all safety protocols, especially when operating machinery or handling large products.

Teamwork: Ability to collaborate effectively with other warehouse and assembly associates.

Basic Skills: General understanding of packing procedures, and foundational math and communication skills are required.

Ability to work a flexible schedule includes early mornings and possible early evenings.

Previous experience operating a forklift is preferred
