1. Role

Pragmatic, process- and solution-oriented leader with strategic vision for the JELD-WEN Central Europe production sites with a focus on the Mittweida site, strong communication skills at all levels.


2. Area of responsibility

  • Responsible for the production operations of JELD-WEN in Mittweida /  Germany (Saxony)
  • Direct management of theplant and the corresponding departments of raw material warehouse / intralogistics; prefabrication; Final production; Maintenance / Technology; EHS; JEM  (CI)  work preparation; EHS
  • Responsible for the productivity ofthe plant,incl. productivity increases / year
  • Responsibility for all investments CAPEX im Mittweida plant
  • P&L Responsibility of theW erkes
  • Responsibility for compliance with risk management JELD-WEN Central Europe / EHS Managements
  • Responsibility for the future development of the ITlandscape  for JELD-WEN  Mittweida  (especially with regard to the efficient support of production processes)in coordination with the IT function
  • Management of the JEM program to increase productivity and thus responsibility for the continuous improvement program
  • Direct reporting to Director Operations Central Europe


3. Tasks

  • Management of the operational business of JELD-WEN Mittweida
  • Leadership,promotion  and motivation of employees
  • Coordination of all processes from the production companies, logistics with the areas of sales & marketing, purchasing, development, HR and finance,
  • Review and further development of the Mittweida  production strategy with regard to technological development, production footprint, etc.
  • Annual and rolling CAPEX planning and implementation at the Mittweida site
  • Further development and consolidation of the IT landscape at the Mittweida site in compliance with central requirements
  • Definition and control of the entire production planningat the  Mittweida plant
  • Support for the technological standardization of the CE plants (hardware – technologies and IT)
  • Representation and presentation of JELD-WEN Mittweida  to the outside world – in particular to authorities
  • Planning and adherence to the plant budget
  • Productivity and Cost Report to Director  Operations Central Europe


4. Requirements

  • Degree in business administration, industrial engineering or engineering 
  • approx. 10  years of professional experience, of which at least  5  years of professional experience in the manufacturing industry, desirable 2-5 years of experience in the management of direct production companies
  • Very strong leader
  • Entrepreneurial thinking and trade, doer mentality, "hands-on"
  • Experience abroad desirable
  • Strong strategic and conceptual skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication in German and English
  • Strong flexibility and commitment
  • Experience in planning and lean management
