JELD-WEN is currently seeking a Vice President of Sales for Canada to join our team!
The successful applicant will be a strategic results driven individual able to lead an experienced sales force and oversee the team’s activities and performance. Building strong relationships with the team as well as customers and clients will be paramount to this person’s success in this role. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication, negotiation and strategic planning skills, and will be responsible for driving sustainable growth with their team in all areas and channels across the country.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategic sales plans to accommodate corporate goals.
- Direct sales forecasting activities, work closely with the Sales Analyst, and set performance goals accordingly.
- Review market analysis to determine customer needs, price schedules, and discount rates.
- Approval of standard pricing, quotes, promotions, and ensuring all projects meet SOX compliance requirements.
- Directing and leading the Annual Buying Group negotiations with the National Accounts Manager, Sales Analyst and with the Marketing team to achieve profitable multi-year contracts for the business.
- Meet with key clients, maintaining relationships, and negotiating and closing deals.
- Prepare and present sales report showing sales volume, potential sales, and areas of proposed client base expansion.
- Oversee and evaluate market research and adjust sales strategy to meet changing market and competitive conditions.
- Monitor and evaluate the activities and products of the competition.
- Develop and implement sales expense plans to accommodate Corporate goals.
- Direct sales expense activities while working closely with all Provincial and National Account Managers as well as the Finance team.
- Direct staffing, training, and performance evaluations to develop and control sales program.
Qualifications:
- Past experience as a VP of Sales, Sales Director or similar Senior Sales role
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to include corporate personnel and managers and be able to influence all levels of the organization
- Advanced leadership, interpersonal, technical aptitude, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills, and the ability to lead and drive a strong successful sales culture
- A team player, with the ability to coach, mentor and manage personnel, and instill JELD-WEN’s Mission and Cultural Values in the team.
- Proven ability to drive the sales process from plan to close
- Strong business sense, financial acumen and Window & Door industry experience and expertise
- Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office, Excel, Power Point, Adobe Acrobat, Outlook and Salesforce (or comparable CRM)
- Bachelor’s degree in business, business administration or a related field
- Frequent travel may be required depending on time of year
