We are now looking for a Transport Administrator to support our Frames plant in Melton Mowbray.

 

The role reports to the Team Leader and will focus on all administrative tasks within the Despatch / Transport department.

 


YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Taking inbound calls and making outbound customer service and delivery calls
  • Producing drivers / loaders / carrier paperwork.
  • Working closely with other departments to ensure the smooth delivery of JELD-WEN products. 
  • Taking ownership of problems and seeing them through to completion.  
  • Demonstrate a high degree of flexibility to assist in other roles within the office as and when required and assist colleagues were needed with their duties.
  • Self-motivated to be able to work on own initiative but also as part of a team
  • Regular communication and liaising with manufacturing departments.
  • Deliver outstanding service standards and go above and beyond to ensure customer satisfaction.

 

 

 

 

About the Person:

 

We are looking for an enthusiastic individual who is organised, self-motivated and proactive. Applicants should have previous experience of working in an administrative role. A GCSE in English and Maths (or equivalent qualification) is required as well as a good working knowledge of Microsoft office packages including Excel, Word and PowerPoint. 

 

This position would ideally suit someone with strong communication skills who has the ability to build good relationships with customers and internal colleagues. 

 

The successful applicant must have the confidence and ability to deal with people at all levels. Computer skills and previous experience in this kind of role within a transport office would be advantageous, however not essential as full training will be given.
