A key member of the Melton Leadership Team. Drive and lead the implementation of strategic objectives across the Melton sites.  Provide advice, guidance, and support to the site teams to ensure compliance with company management standards and legislative requirements


Working closely Value Stream Managers to interpret the demand forecast and manage the target inventory levels for finished goods and raw materials to maintain OTIF levels of 98.5% or better with the lowest possible levels of working capital.  Working hard to ensure optimal storage and inbound delivery management performance.


Ensuring a Plan for Every Part (PFEP) when it comes to master data, replenishment parameters, statistical and intelligent forecasts both to Production and third-party suppliers


Leading a small team to maximise inbound supplier performance and stock availability and outbound processes.


Working with the distribution and warehouse teams to establish early warning systems and proactive tools for maintaining supply and high productivity levels amongst the team with full ownership for load management, transportation, home delivery and value-added distribution services.

  • Maintain exceptional physical and digital housekeeping and organisational controls
  • Pro-active approach to ‘Quality’ management through QIO generation, creating a culture of ‘Quality first time every time’.
  • Ownership for the management hourly boards and standard work
  • Leading and driving problem solving and continuous improvement activities
  • Manage team member’s performance and contributions, including absenteeism and discipline
  • Identify new projects to deliver continuous improvement, lean culture and productivity
  • I will educate, develop, and inspire team members towards betterment and achievement
  • Building team member skills, capabilities gap analysis including maintaining skills matrix and impact flexibility and contributions.
  • Housekeeping delivering ‘a place for everything and everything it its place’.
  • Attending daily reviews and the necessary business cadence including layered audits
  • Resource planning, budgetary accountability, KPIs and communications
  • MHE compliance and asset maintenance and utilisation programmes
  • Supporting commercial activities as needed



  • Previous experience of a ‘SAFETY FIRST’ culture with a zero tolerance and continuous safety improvement mentality or equivalent is desirable, however not essential
  • Previous experience of a ‘Quality’ management culture or equivalent is desirable, not essential
  • Previous experience of working in a medium to large manufacturing environment
  • Previous experience of leading a large team with varying levels of skills and experience
  • Experience working within a disciplined and system controlled environment.
  • Experience of working with a SQDCIP (or equivalent) production management
  • Previous experience of working in a Trade Union environment
  • Membership of CIPS is desirable
