CNC Operator – Melton Stairs


AM and PM rotating shifts with associated shift premiums

6.30am – 3.30pm

11.00am – 8.00pm

Friday normal working hours



We are seeking to appoint a CNC Operator to support our operations within the Melton Stair Plant. The role reports to the Group Coordinating VSL.



  • Ensuring health and safety policies are adhered to
  • Completing safety checks
  • Ensure SOP’s are adhered to
  • Operating and setting up of machine
  • Ensure that all products are manufactured to the required quality standards
  • Meeting quality standards for each process
  • Ensuring that general housekeeping is done to the required standard and work area is 5’s compliant
  • Completing daily Titan schedules
  • Ensuring machine maintenance is carried out day to day and continual machine output is achieved



  • Attention to detail and a commitment to quality are essential. 
  • Knowledge of stair manufacture and good PC knowledge and skills would be advantageous but are not essential as training will be given.
  • This role requires someone who is self-motivated, reliable, enthusiastic and a flexible team member who can produce high quality work whilst being under pressure.
  • Applicants must understand Customer Specifications and be able to work to a high tolerance.
  • An NVQ 1,2,3 or equivalent in wood machining is preferable but in-house training will be given accordingly.


You will also be expected to role model behaviours in line with the JELD-WEN standard of acceptance and in accordance with JELD-WEN values and expectations.
