Department: Maintenance

Job Title: Electronics Technician

Summary: The Electronics Technician will report to the Maintenance Manager and the Maintenance Lead. They will be responsible for but not limited to performing Mechanical & Electrical diagnostic trouble shooting, and repairs.; working from lifts, and ladders, following all EPA, OSHA and applicable safety rules and regulations. 

Requirements:

2 Year Associate’s degree in Electronic Technology, or 2 Year Associates degree in Electromechanical Technology, or equivalent job experience.

Ability to demonstrate knowledge of PLC programing and troubleshooting PLC circuits.

Knowledge of and ability to troubleshoot electrical circuits, motors, VFDs, and electrical wiring for voltages from 110 to 480 vac and also low voltage DC

Ability to read electrical schematics

Corrective maintenance on equipment, equipment inspections, and perform preventative maintenance on equipment to support production needs.

Facility maintenance and repairs as required

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Electronics Tech is responsible for electrical maintenance on equipment, equipment inspections, and perform preventative maintenance on equipment to support production needs. Assists the Maintenance II and III positions with jobs mechanical in nature to ensure minimum down time of production equipment.

·        Replaces wires, electrical receptacles, fixtures and motors

·        Follow established company safety policy & procedure.

·        Meet established efficiency, quality and production goals.

·        Must be able to stand for duration of shift.

·        Work overtime as needed.

·        Keep work area neat and organized during and at end of shift.

·        Be able to communicate effectively with Group managers, machine operators and co-workers.

·        Wear PPE as required by the plant

·        Answer trouble calls to the production lines.

·        Mechanical & Electrical diagnostic repairs

·        New Mechanical & Electrical installations and equipment moves.

·        Use necessary equipment in a safe manner.

·        Able to work from heights without issue.

·        Physically able to lift 49 pounds with assistance. 50lbs and over with assist.

·        Physically able to work from lifts, ladders and above the head while working on projects.

·        Must be able to work in a TEAM environment and offer Suggestions to improve SAFETY, QUALITY, DELIVERY, COST and INVENTORY

Equipment Use: But not limited to: Cordless drill, pneumatic tools, measuring tape, saws, sheers, ladders, lifts, jacks, Wrenches, screw drivers, hammers, Multi Meters and others.

Certifications, Licenses, Training: PPE Use, lock out/Tag out, HazCom, Emergency Response, Slip/Trips/Fall Training, Fall Protection, Electrical, Pneumatic, Hydraulic, Mechanical. Computer literate, Word, Excel, Web searching. Ability to read prints and electrical diagrams.

Expected pay for this role is between $30.54 to $33.75  per hour and is based on experience and qualifications.
