Payroll Advisor

We’re currently seeking a Payroll Advisor to help oversee payroll operations for our Danish and Finnish teams. You’ll be proactive, collaborative, and eager to identify areas for process improvement. Experience in production environments and familiarity with SAP HR systems are a plus, but what matters most is your ability to deliver results while maintaining confidentiality and compliance. This role would be based out of our Logstor office in Denmark, working on a hybrid pattern. 

Reporting to the Head of Payroll – Europe, you’ll play a vital role in delivering accurate payroll services and benefits administration that meet legal and operational standards. You’ll also support senior managers and HR teams with payroll data and analysis, contributing to our business’s broader compliance and people goals. 

What impact you will make:

• Support accurate and timely processing of monthly payroll cycles 

• Validate pay inputs from sources including Kronos, PeoplePoint, and management data 

• Provide guidance on complex payroll components including bonuses, leave pay, commissions, and deductions 

• Act as a liaison with external payroll providers to resolve discrepancies and ensure compliance 

• Deliver payroll reports and insights to support HR and senior leadership decisions 

• Advise employees and managers on payroll matters, ensuring clarity and consistency 

• Maintain compliance with relevant employment legislation and statutory requirements 

• Contribute to internal controls and audit readiness, including SOX documentation 

• Recommend opportunities for streamlining payroll operations and boosting accuracy 

 
What you need to succeed:

• 4+ years of hands-on payroll experience, preferably in a high-volume or production-based environment 

• Strong understanding of Finnish payroll regulations and statutory frameworks is essential, an understanding of Danish payroll regulations is a plus  

• Familiarity with SAP HR and payroll systems (advantageous but not essential) 

• Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables and complex formulas 

• Fluency in Finnish, Danish, and English 

• A detail-oriented mindset, excellent communication skills, and a customer-first approach 

• Ability to thrive in a Shared Services or international business context
