Summary: Assist in all safety aspects and programs including ensuring compliance with company global policies and standards and regulatory requirements. The Safety Coordinator will be a resource to associates by providing technical expertise to multiple site personnel to promote a sustainable and preventative safety compliance culture.  The successful candidate should have experience with conducting safety assessments, preparing reports, investigations & submittals, providing tools to assist in maintaining compliance and training for plant personnel in all safety requirements.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned. 


  • Preparing reports to various regulatory agencies.
  • Administering the safety system and OSHA compliance programs.
  • Training site employees on Life Critical Safety Rules and the EH&S management system.  Keeping rosters, maintaining training materials, train the trainer level of understanding for all safety training requirements.
  • Conducting routine safety assessments and inspections including developing corrective actions.
  • Facilitating a monthly safety meeting with employees.  Planning and integrating the meeting to assist and implement ideas and suggestions.
  • Developing standards and work practices to promote a proactive and preventative safety and environmental program.
  • Assisting sites with preparing and responding to regulatory requests and/or enforcement actions.

  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Excellent communication skills, verbal and written
  • Product and service knowledge, and comprehension of material and process flow
  • Strong computer skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, TITAN, etc.)
  • Ability to work and function as a team member with a wide variety of people


Attendance Requirements: Basic hours will be 7:00am to 4:00pm Monday through Friday but the position will require flexibility; weekend work, inventory counts and overtime hours upon request.
