While managing and motivating Fabrication and Machining crews, this individual will be responsible for all aspects of his/her crew's performance, including but not limited to safety, quality, production, and training.


Job Duties:

  • Leads fabrication and machining teams.
  • Assigns workers to workstations to meet customer project requirements.
  • Maintains high safety, environmental, and quality standards.
  • Interprets drawing specifications for workers.
  • Makes critical decisions to maintain production efficiencies and order completion.
  • Monitors production and adjusts work assignments, supply of material, and machine operation when necessary.
  • Manages the maintenance of all shop tools and equipment.
  • Develops weekly/monthly shop schedule prioritizing customer needs and commitments.
  • Confers with Managers, Purchasing, and Engineers as necessary to fulfill orders.
  • Interfaces with customers when necessary.
  • Develops job cost and timeframe estimates for certain assignments.


  • Machining and Fabrication experience and demonstrated ability to lead groups.
  • Ability to analyze and solve problems.
  • Solid verbal and written communication skills.
  • Mechanical aptitude including and interested in new technology and automated processes.
  • Ability to organize and maintain records.
  • Strong organizational skills along with a sense of urgency and personal accountability.
  • Self-motivated, hands-on manager who enjoys continuous improvement.
