Forklift Operator – Receiving Department

2nd shift – 4pm – 2:30am

General description of duties:

• Operates propane and/or electric forklift vehicle safely, efficiently, and proficiently.
• Perform start of shift preventative maintenance inspection
• Operate a scan gun used to track inventory movements.
• Assisting in inventory cycle counts as needed.
• Material preparation and material handling.
• Respond promptly to customer and plant needs through the safe and efficient loading and unloading of trucks.
• Gather the necessary materials to support the production floor.
• Move material from production staging to routes.
• Stocking/replenishing/picking/pulling.
• Detects and reports defective materials.
• Work safely in a fast-paced environment until the job is complete.
• Labels finished products to match appropriate paperwork.
• Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition.
• Retrieve raw materials, semi-finished, and finished products for proper assembly.
• May be required to work or assist in the other areas throughout the facility, any additional work as directed by supervisor or lead.
• Other general duties as assigned by the management staff.
• Workl overtime, including weekends, as needed.

Previous experience in a manufacturing or similar environment is preferred but not required.

Experienced/Skills Preferred:

• Previous experience in a manufacturing or similar environment is preferred but not required.
• Product knowledge including commercial and hollow metal door frames a plus
• Excellent work habits
• Strong attention to detail
• Must be able to operate a cherry picker forklift
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs throughout the day.
• Attention to detail

 Physical Requirements:

• The ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and occasionally team lifting anything exceeding 50 pounds
