Role Summary and Purpose

As our Sales Director and country lead, you will play a pivotal role in driving the company's sales strategy and managing operations within the assigned country. You will be responsible for developing and executing sales plans, fostering key customer relationships, and ensuring the overall success of our business in the target market, aswell as being responsible for leading Country Leadership Team (CLT).

As Sales Director you are responsible for leading a team of professionals and/or support our employees, on our way to growth and market success. You are naturally eager to provide input into workforce planning and recruitment activities, ensuring our team ressources and team output, aswell as a focus on ensuring short-term outputs and effectiveness for teams, to integrate effectively with other work areas in our organisation.

 

Key Accountabilities / Responsibilities

Sales Strategy and Planning:

  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and market share goals.
  • Follow market research to identify new opportunities, customer needs, and competitor trends.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align sales objectives with overall business objectives.
  • Collaborate and leading the marketing team to create and execute lead generation campaigns and other initiatives to drive sales.

 

Business Development:

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand the company's footprint in the country.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key clients, partners, and stakeholders.
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements to ensure mutually beneficial and profitable partnerships.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for key clients, managing their accounts and ensuring that their needs are met.

Team Leadership and Management:

  • Build and lead a high-performing sales team, providing guidance, coaching, and mentorship.
  • Foster a collaborative and results-driven culture within the sales organization.
  • Responsible for nurturing a results-driven sales culture that inspires innovation and motivation in the sales team
  • Set targets and goals for the sales team and monitor progress towards achieving them.
  • Lead and manage a team of sales professionals, providing guidance, training, and support as needed.
  • Monitor and analyse team performance, providing regular feedback and implementing improvement plans as needed.

Operational Excellence:

  • Oversee day-to-day operations in the assigned country, ensuring compliance with local regulations and company policies.
  • Collaborate with other departments, including supply chain, operations, HR, finance, product management etc, to optimize operational efficiency.
  • Implement best practices to streamline processes and improve overall performance.

Reporting and Analysis:

  • Develop and maintain a sales pipeline and forecasting system to ensure that the team is consistently hitting its targets and that future sales are forecasted accurately.
  • Prepare and present monthly performace reports on sales performance, market trends, and key metrics to the executive team
  • Prepare and present quarterly QBR reports.
  • Prepare and present KAM plans
  • Ensure relevant KPI ́s are analysed and monitored. Utilize data and analytics to make informed business decisions and drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Proven experience in sales leadership roles within a manufacturing industry and B2B sales.
  • Strong understanding of the local market, industry trends, and competitive landscape.
  • Strong understanding of sales strategies and techniques
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute successful sales strategies.
  • Results-oriented with a track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets.
  • Experience managing and developing high-performing teams.
  • Proven experience with using Salesforce to manage sales activities, leads, and customer interactions.
  • Understand and work in a matrix organisation
  • Strong problem-solving skills, ability to think creatively and ability to adapt to change are also important to be able to navigate through the difficult times and make effective decisions.
  • Team Transformation: ability to lead and manage a transformation of the Swedish and Norwegian teams in general and the sales team in particular, both in terms of its structure and processes, and in terms of the skills and capabilities of its members.

 

Experience / Knowledge

Our ideal candidate for this role should have a minimum of 5-10 years of documented sales management experience in a B2B operational driven organisation.

 

Language Skills

  • Must be fluent in both written and spoken Swedish/Norwegian and English
  • A third language is preferred, but not essential.
