We are the European market leader for steel frames and a leading supplier of steel doors in Europe. For our production site located in Humpolec we are looking for a Plant Manager (f/m/d) for immediate appointment:




In this position you are responsible for planning and delivering all production operational activities, by coordinating the necessary resources and setting controls to achieve the agreed objectives in line with targets. As Plant Manager you are heading a team of 5, with whom you will be driving positive transformation throughout the site, (160 employees) build and mentor effective teams and drive employee engagement to facilitate continuous improvement within the plant.




  • Overall responsibility for management of the plant and the corresponding departments of EHS, Quality, JEM (CI), Maintenance / Technology
  • Further expand and develop EHS zero incident culture
  • Provide timely production operational activities in line with key objectives set supporting the plant management team and the Operations Director to deliver the business strategy
  • Work with other functional managers within the business to ensure operations are aligned to strategic objectives and that capacity is proactively planned and managed
  • Responsible for the value stream product quality standards and the continuous improvement of these standards and implement, maintain and achieve quality control standards across the plant
  • Work collaboratively with the plant management team in delivering productivity improvement
  • ‘Own’ the P&L for the plant including involvement in detailed budgeting and forecasting activities
  • Achieve annualized cost reduction targets through team member involvement and project management
  • Develop and challenge the production team to embed Lean tools, techniques and leadership behaviors
  • Coach, mentor and educate employees to develop, support and sustain a continuous improvement culture




  • Completed technical studies in the field of mechanical engineering, process engineering, production engineering
  • Sound professional experience in plant leadership (minimum 5 years) in a medium to large manufacturing environment (in an international acting group or matrix organization is an advantage)
  • Experienced in developing a ‘Safety First’ culture with a zero tolerance and continuous safety improvement mentality
  • Knowledge of Lean Management principles such as value stream mapping, 5s, standard work cellular flow, mistake proofing, total productive maintenance
  • Strong understanding of key financial indicators to make better business decisions
  • Knowledge about ‘Quality’ management systems and culture
  • Strong leadership skills and distinctive readiness to engage people
  • Experience working within a disciplined and system-controlled environment
  • Experience of working with a SQDCIP (or equivalent) production management system is desirable
  • Understanding of multiple manufacturing ERP systems advantageous
  • Qualification / expertise in project management or Lean management methodology desirable
  • Fluent in both written and spoken Czech as well as in English
  • German language is advantageous
