Student worker to COIN at Swedoor, JELD-WEN
We are seeking an analytical student worker to join JELD-WEN’s Center of Intelligence (COIN) team in Herning and turn external market data into insights for our European businesses. Your role will focus on gathering macroeconomic, industry and competitor data. You will analyse how economic developments affect the outlook for each country and help translate the findings into relevant business insights.
About the team in COIN JELD-WEN
• COIN – “Center of Intelligence” is a market intelligence department est. in 2017 in JELD-WEN.
• Team of 4 people.
• Operating in Scandinavia, Finland, Baltics, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, UK and France.
• COIN gathers and analyses information from the external environment, communicates relevant insights to leadership and internal stakeholders, and supports informed tactical and strategic decisions.
• Our work covers macroeconomics, door-market potential, competitor monitoring, and customer and consumer surveys.
• We are exploring how AI can support our work by improving processes, quality and data collection, including early-stage development of focused AI agents for selected markets and topics.
Key Responsibilities
• Responsible for gathering and organizing macro-economic data from local statistics and European sources.
• Responsible for gathering and organizing building starts/permits data from local statistics.
• Monitoring economic indicators, such as consumer/business confidence, inflation, interest rates, and GDP
• Reading and analyzing economic reports from various sources, including international organizations, banks, governments, and news streams.
• Identify key trends, drivers, risks and opportunities by sector and country.
• Start with selected countries, then expand across Europe and into competitor data collection and analysis.
• Support selected AI-related improvement tasks, particularly those aimed at making data collection more efficient and increasingly automated.

Qualifications
• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Admin, Economics, Marketing, or related
• High analytical skills and ability to turn data into meaningful insights.
• Self-driven with the ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel. Experience (or interest) in Python is considered a benefit.
