Description of Job

Job Overview-

• Use Kanban (JW Production) for replenishment needs
• Operate the forklift to supply the lay-up areas with raw materials, caul boards, and other production related materials. May also assist in the helping the dock driver in their duties as well as receiving from time to time.
• This position will be able to cut down skins and core. You will become fully knowledgeable in the cut down process.

Safety-

• Must keep areas clean of spills and debris and notifying management of unsafe acts / conditions.

             Must be able to lift 50 lbs.

• Required PPE’s: 
  • Safety glasses. 
  • Hearing protection
  • Safety toe shoes

• Safety Training:
  • Forklift safety certification. (Must pass written and driving test.)
  • Training for proper lifting techniques.  
  • Standard OSHA and JELD-WEN required safety training.

Productivity-

• Must be able to keep pace with area “servicing” while keeping materials organized in the warehouse.
• Must complete schedules daily

Quality-

• Must scan material in and out of locations
• Must be able to “warehouse” materials in an efficient manner to maximize warehouse space and to minimize handling damage.

Maintenance-

• Will be required to do preventive maintenance on their forklift. Includes checking fluid levels, changing and charging batteries. Weekly: blowing it off and wiping it down.
• Includes alerting maintenance or a manager if forklift or dock equipment needs repairs.
• Must maintain a clean work environment. Includes keeping aisles clear and production area clear.

Other-

• Must have passed handbook test
• Must perform any other reasonable tasks assigned by group manager.
