Material Handler - Overnight

Description of Job

Job Overview-

• Using Kanban (JW Production) to replenish materials
• Load raw material components on trailers according to schedules
• Supply skins and complementary core (when needed), taking core to and from the CNC router and keeping raw material bays in order
• Unloading and loading trailers keeping various areas supplied with pallets, cardboard and other production supplies
• Basic warehousing, housekeeping and other duties as assigned by the group manager

Safety-

• Fit For Duty
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
• Pre-shift stretching mandatory to prevent injury
• Required PPE
• Safety glasses, hearing protection, safety shoes
• Safety Training
• Standard OSHA and JELD-WEN safety training
• Pass written and driving tests

Productivity-

• Must be able to maintain production flow while taking on additional tasks
• Must be able to perform all other Interior fork truck functions (package line, layup, etc.)

Quality-

• Must scan materials in and out of locations
• Zero Forklift handling damage is expected.
• Must be able to identify and address damage of material. 

Maintenance-

• Required Preventative Maintenance
• Complete daily inspection of the forklift that YOU are using
• Charge battery at every break and end of shift
• Cleanliness responsibilities
• Maintain a clean warehouse (immediate work area, compactor, dumpsters, etc.)
• Clean and maintain the forklift and charger

Other-

• Must perform any other tasks assigned by group manager
