Job Overview-

  • Expedite exterior and interior slabs; prehang units; and “pulls”.
  • 1st shift
  • Receiver for SWH and other SWH job duties
  • Inventory responsibilities

Requirements-

  • Must have the flexibility to work overtime as needed without notice.
  • Must posses or develop extreme accuracy in recording each item loaded onto a truck.
  • Must be forklift certified, preferably with loading experience and formidable forklift skills.
  • Problem solving and planning as necessary.
  • Must be able to read and understand production schedules and pick lists as required to perform the above duties.
  • Must be able to learn and identify the different types of exterior, interior, and prehung doors as well as various window units.
  • Able to communicate effectively in a verbal and written manor without the use of slang or derogatory verbiage.
  • Able to occasionally lift up to 75lbs.

 

Safety-

  • Required PPE’s: 
    • Safety glasses.  
  • Heavy fork truck traffic area: must display appropriate safety precautions while working around pedestrians. 
  • Pre-shift stretching is mandatory to prevent lifting injuries.
  • Failure to posses an attitude of safety in every aspect of this position will result in disciplinary action.

 

 

Productivity-

  • Must be self-motivated and daily be able to treat their job as if they own and run it, from scheduling, part pulling, receiving and checking in of materials. 

 

Quality-

  • Must be able to read and understand production paperwork and loading “Pick List” paperwork in order to ensure that doors and windows are loaded correctly and according to customer requirements,
  • Must be able to understand customer requirements and ensure that finished door units adhere to these standards.
  • Zero forklift handling damage is expected.
  • Must be able to identify and address handling damage during receiving or loading. Failure to report your own or incidents of others will result in disciplinary actions.

 

Other-

  • Must perform any other reasonable tasks assigned by a manager.
