Duties & Responsibilities

  • Evaluate incoming door slabs for adequate quality. Must know quality standards and be conscientious.
  • Must be able to identify all raw materials
  • Communicate quality problems to the Group Manager (Production Supervisor) promptly. 
  • Responsible for daily production of the department.
  • Responsible for maintaining and improving on processes.
    • Using process documentation to ensure tasks are completed by proper positions.
    • Improving upon existing processes.
    • Working with Group Manager to document new processes.
  • Keep department stocked with materials.
    • Ensure department never stops due to lack of materials (door slabs, labels, pallets, packaging, etc).
    • Give adequate heads up on materials we are running low on per procedure
    • Open units and remove packaging promptly and dispose of all materials
    • Must be able to safely move and use forklift and order picker in safe manner to maintain efficiency
  • Perform quality work so individual doors and stacks of doors meet our product specifications and are accetpable for shipping.
  • Must be a team player and able to work with a minimum of supervision.
    • Position is meant to be a leader. 
  • Maintain a safe working environment. Wear ear, eye hand, and breathing protection as required. Work cautiously and carefully around machinery and equipment. 
  • Must maintain a clean and neat work area at all times. 
  • Keep informed of any and all hazardous chemicals or substances in your area and the proper use of handling of the same. 
  • Comminicate with prevous and on-coming shifts regarding orders, needs, successes, problems, etc. 
  • Perform any other job duties assigned by a group manager.
