For our European R&D team we are currently looking for an experienced Project Manager (f/m/d) based near to one of our production sites either in Austria (Upper Austria/Spital am Pyhrn) or in Germany (near Öttingen). YOUR ROLE

 

In this role you are responsible for the whole project management life cycle (generating ideas together with the relevant stake holders/ build up the project plans/ follow up actions/ executing the projects) in our Region Central Europe – focusing on cost reduction in the areas of Operations, R&D, and Product Management.

 

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Identify proper source of margin generation considering a manufactured good or its manufacturing process through an in-depth technical analysis when needed
  • Ensure all areas are involved during the technical analysis securing a good risk mitigation plan with all stakeholders accountable
  • Perform validation checks in order to eliminate a technical risk as soon as possible, being capable to revalidate the plan focused on acceleration by capturing others’ opinions towards it.
  • Communication and prioritization between different activities in the Portfolio of projects taking into consideration costs, risks, and potential of the different activities
  • Establishing long term partnerships with several peers in Operations, R&D, Product Management and Finance area, being recognized as the ambassador of the VA/VE area throughout the European organization
  • Guarantee proper resourcing of the different activities through awareness, internal partnership, identifying new ways of working, addressing bottlenecks and properly escalating challenges when needed

 

YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES

 

  • University degree in the engineering field (knowledge in wood technology would be an advantage) and at least 3 years of experience in large scale projects in a manufacturing business
  • Advanced education in project management is desirable (PMI, IMPA certification)
  • Commercial and methodological know-how of risk and opportunity assessment
  • Proven skills in plant projects in an international environment
  • Resilient, enthusiastic, solution-oriented personality
  • Strong planning and organizational skills
  • Comfortable to work in a matrix organization on multiple projects simultaneously
  • Fluent in German and English
  • Open to travel of approx. 10 - 20% (Austria/Germany)

For this position we are offering a minimum annual salary of € 55,000 gross, with the possibility of overpayment depending on qualifications and experience. In this position remote work is possible, but flexibility to travel to one of our locations (mainly Austria/Spital am Pyhrn or Germany/Öttingen) would be required 2-3 times/month.
