NPDI Project Manager for European PMO team

Can you motivate and engage people around the task to deliver excellent results? Can you brand your projects and perform clear communication to stakeholders? Are you an experienced Project Manager with a proven track record within New Product Development Implementation in an international environment? Then you might be the right candidate for a position in our European PMO department as an NPDI Project Manager in one of our locations in either Forserum or Aastorp, Sweden.

 

Role Summary and purpose

You will be part of our Project Portfolio Management team in Europe and report directly to the European PMO Manager. As an NPDI Project manager, you will be responsible for coordinating a portfolio of projects in multiple sites across Europe. The scope of the role is to successfully lead and facilitate projects following the project management best practices. This entails fulfilling the expectations from project objectives, costs and timeframe. You will be managing various types of projects, such as New Product Development Implementation, Product Change Implementation, Optimisation, and Compliance Related Projects.

Key accountabilities/responsibilities

  • Manage the project, process, and project team with a focus on Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and Innovation (SQDCI)
  • Manage and coordinate a large cross-functional team in different projects across Europe to secure plans are executed accordingly, maximising PMO Europe’s results
  • Secure that we implement and follow our Tollgate stage-gate model
  • To ensure adherence to all compliance standards and operate with integrity at all times
  • To be an ambassador for the PMO department and create good relations and business partners in the internal European organisation
  • Work collaboratively with the European PMO team in delivering a continuous improvement of JELD-WEN’s Tollgate processes and procedures

Your key contacts for this role will internally be Operations, R&D, Product Management, Procurement, Supply Chain, Finance,  Sales and Marketing, Quality and Compliance

Experience/knowledge

  • Several years of experience in Project and Portfolio Management and a proven track record within New Product Development Implementation in an international environment
  • Experience in R&D/Operations/Sales
     

Education/qualification

  • Project Management certification is an advantage
  • A general good business and process understanding is needed.
     

Language skills

  • Must be fluent in both written and spoken English
  • Fluency in a Scandinavian language or German, French would be an advantage
