About the Role

Step into a role where your expertise truly makes a difference. As our new EHS Manager, you will be the driving force behind a strong and forward-looking safety culture at our JELD-WEN production site in Forserum, Sweden.

This is an exciting opportunity to combine strategic influence with hands-on engagement, helping to shape a safer, smarter and more people-focused workplace. Working closely with production leaders, health and safety representatives and the local leadership team, you will play a key role in embedding EHS excellence across the site.

You will also be part of our Northern European EHS network, partnering with the Nordic EHS Manager and colleagues across the region to implement new standards, drive continuous improvement and share best practices.

What Impact You Will Make

As EHS Manager, you will have a direct impact on the safety, wellbeing and performance of our people and operations by:

  • Leading and continuously developing the site's Environment, Health & Safety strategy.
  • Embedding EHS principles and best practices into daily operations.
  • Conducting risk assessments and ensuring effective mitigation plans are implemented.
  • Coaching and supporting leaders in all aspects of health, safety and environmental management.
  • Delivering engaging training and awareness programmes that strengthen safety culture and employee engagement.
  • Ensuring accurate reporting and compliance with applicable legislation, ISO standards and JELD-WEN policies.
  • Driving continuous improvement initiatives that reduce risk, prevent incidents and enhance operational performance.
  • Collaborating with regional EHS colleagues to implement new standards and share best practices.

What You Need to Succeed

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

  • Significant EHS experience, typically five years or more in an EHS management role within a manufacturing, industrial, global or matrix organisation.
  • Strong knowledge of health, safety and environmental legislation and management systems.
  • Experience working with ISO standards and compliance frameworks.
  • The ability to operate at both a strategic and operational level, balancing long-term objectives with day-to-day support.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build trust and influence at all levels of the organisation.
  • A proactive and collaborative approach, with a passion for developing people and driving positive change.
  • A Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification and experience in a relevant field.
  • Fluency in both Swedish and English, written and spoken.

Manages professional employees and or supervisors or supervises large, complex support, production or operations team(s). Has accountability for the performance and results of a team within own discipline or function. Adapts departmental plans and priorities to address resource and operational challenges. Decisions and problem-solving are guided by policies, procedures and business plan, receives guidance from senior manager. Provides technical guidance to employees, colleagues and or customers. Exercises limited management authority, sets employee performance objectives, conducts performance reviews and recommends pay actions. Defines team operating standards and ensures essential procedures are followed based on knowledge of own discipline.

Internal Job Description

Starting Salary Range: (610,800.00 to 814,400.00), reflecting the typical range for this role based on experience and skills. In line with the EU Pay Transparency Directive (EU) 2023/970, this range is set using objective, gender‑neutral criteria. Final salary depends on experience. We do not use pay history and are committed to equal pay, with transparent and objective pay decisions.
