Are you a LEAN practitioner with a passion for driving continuous improvement and change? Do you have an avid interest in applying LEAN principles and fostering a continuous improvement culture? This is an excellent opportunity for you to join us in a crucial role as a Continuous Improvement Manager at JELD-WEN Sweden. In this role, you will lead continuous improvement initiatives at our manufacturing site in Forserum, Sweden.


Your role

 

As a Continuous Improvement Manager, you will work closely with the site management team in Forserum, Sweden.  Reporting directly to the Factory Manager, the scope of the role is to lead and implement continuous improvement initiatives across the Forserum manufacturing site to deliver improvement on the bottom-line performance.  You will support and educate the leaders to embed and sustain a continuous improvement culture in the Forserum site.  As Continuous Improvement Manager, you will act as a key resource to the Factory Manager on all continuous improvement related matters. You will be responsible for successfully implementing LEAN methodologies and ensuring a systemic improvement of work practices and processes.


Your responsibilities
 

  • Be an ambassador for Continuous Improvement initiatives
  • Facilitate and lead CI events in the manufacturing site
  • Encourage knowledge-sharing in Forserum factory to accelerate improvements and benefits
  • Continue to develop our factory in putting our customer and market needs in the center of everything we do
  • Lead and practice JELD-WEN´s LEAN program JEM (JELD-WEN Excellence Model)
  • Support and facilitate site management team in developing strategic objectives and create a clear sense of direction and focus
  • Initiate and participate in shop floor activities such as kaizen events, 5S workshops etc.
  • Develop our visual management system with clear goals on all levels
     

Your skills and experiences
 

  • Experience with continuous improvement from a similar role within the manufacturing industry
  • A degree in Engineering or an equivalent vocational qualification
  • Substantial experience working with LEAN tools (e.g., 5s, Value Stream Mapping etc.)
  • Sound knowledge of LEAN methodologies, a LEAN certification is an advantage
  • A continuous improvement mindset and self-driven
  • Experience with project management and change management
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Fluency in written and spoken Swedish and English is a prerequisite for this role
