Facilities Project Manager

JELD-WEN is currently seeking a Facilities Project Manager to join our growing team.

 

THE ROLE 

The Project Manager is responsible for the full life cycle of a project and execution within the stated timeline and budget. The Project Manager plans a project to fill the stated need, develops the scope and costing of the project, secures resources, and designs and oversees the successful delivery of the project.

 

Principle Duties and Responsibilities

•    Project Management responsibilities include accountabilities for all aspects of project execution, including system layout, vendor/contractor management, equipment procurement, schedule management, project costing, site management and installation support.
•    Ensure each job is safely and productively performed while providing quality work.
•    Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and company policies and procedures. This may include:

       o   Review with risk management field engineer
       o   Notification and possible review with the property insurance carrier
       o   Notification and review by corporate environmental
•    Lead and influence others for the timely completion of project activities.
•    Work toward a predetermined goal independently or as part of a team.

 

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

•    Possess highly effective communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to interact within both engineering and operational environments and with both clients and suppliers.
•    Highly organized, detail-oriented, motivated and self-directed
•    Competent with Microsoft Office Suite
•    Knowledge of Stage-Gate tools
•    Tight management of project financials
•    Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to energize and motivate cross-functional teams.
•    Experience with restructuring projects (insourcing, outsourcing, repositioning), greenfield creations, and complex supply chain projects.
•    Expected to travel to project sites (25-30%) for proper project planning, relationship building and executions.


Education and Experience

•    Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in engineering, with 5+ years of related experience.
•    PMP Certification
•    Six Sigma Certification (Green Belt, Black Belt or Lean Manufacturing) preferred.
•    Experience working in a manufacturing environment.

Expected pay for this role is between $95,000.00 to $158,300.00 per year and is based on experience and qualifications.​
