Financial Accountant

We are looking for a Financial Accountant as part of our finance team and reporting to the Head of Financial Accounting.  You will be responsible for the preparation of the company's financial report and for the fulfilment of other obligations such as tax and statutory reporting.  To provide high quality technical expertise and play a key role in delivering accurate, relevant, and timely financial reporting within a strong financial control environment.We offer a competitive salary/package and benefits, and opportunities for training and development. This role is hybrid with travel to Eauze.

What your impact will be:

• Main support to Head of Financial Accounting for the quality and timeliness of the financial reporting requirements in accordance with our accounting policies (US GAAP), and local GAAP reporting requirements.
• Responsible for supporting & monitoring against system of internal controls that will ensure that company assets are adequately safeguarded. Act as custodian for the Country balance sheet ensuring integrity and assist in ensuring risks and opportunities are managed.
• Analyse financial data and provide insights to management to support decision-making and strategic planning.
• Support the day-to-day management of the year end and audit process to ensure smooth delivery and statutory sign off.
• Monthly, quarterly, annual closing and reporting
• Provides technical accounting GAAP guidance and support to the entities, showing deep understanding of accounting principles and procedures.
• Ensuring for proper timing and application of revenue recognition rules
• Main support function for the quality and timeliness of the financial reporting requirements in accordance with our accounting policies (US GAAP), and local GAAP reporting requirements. 

What you'll need to succeed:

• At least 4 years' experience as Accountant auditor or similar role in an accountancy firm
• Experience of SOX processes and controls together with excellent technical accounting skills
• Knowledge of accounting standards (IFRS, US GAAP, French GAAP)
• Experience of SAP preferable
• Flexible, able to consistently meet deadlines and consistently motivated and focused on delivery
• Appreciates the concept of materiality together with the benefit of detail
• Appreciates an excellent control environment and consistently aims for improvement.
