JELD-WEN is currently seeking a Manager, Human Resources to join our growing team.
OVERVIEW:
This position is responsible for overseeing personnel matters and being a key stakeholder in the development and execution of strategic initiatives and training and development for ABS-Denver and ABS-Auburn.
PRINCIPAL JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Strategic Development and Deployment:
- Lead the design and implementation of the Human Resources strategic plan and initiatives to support business strategies and promote unified company culture.
- Enforce company policies, practices, and internal communications to achieve company-wide goals.
- Establish a leadership training curriculum to include annual performance review training, supervisor and manager development, and cultural advancement.
Human Resource Responsibilities:
- Manage the common processes and day-to-day operations of the Human Resource department across all locations.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws; respond to government and employee inquiries or complaints and coordinate their resolution.
- Counsel employees and management by promptly and effectively applying and communicating company policies, guidelines, and values.
- Oversee the recruitment and selection process.
- Oversee the administration of payroll and all employee benefit programs, including medical/dental insurance, life insurance, and 401(k).
- Directly supervise and provide leadership to Human Resources department staff.
- Build departmental capability and effectiveness.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Office environment & manufacturing production floor
- 50% sedentary/stationary
- 5% travel
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Human Resources or related discipline preferred.
- SHRM-CP or PHR Certification preferred.
- 4- 6 years of Human Resources experience in a manufacturing environment.
- High energy level, comfortable performing multifaceted projects in conjunction with day-to-day activities.
- Ability to establish credibility and be decisive.
- Ability to get along with diverse personalities, tactful, mature, and flexible.
- Ability to communicate effectively at all levels, from the C-Suite to the production floor.
- Demonstrated change management execution experience.
- Conflict resolution skills
- Understanding of employment law including California, Oregon, and Washington state law.
- Working knowledge of and experience managing compensation, benefits, and retirement plans.
- Working knowledge of and experience managing talent management functions such as learning and development and performance management.
- Project management skills.
- Knowledge of safe work practices.

Expected pay for this role is between $91,500.00 to $152,500.00 per year and is based on experience and qualifications.
