JELD-WEN is currently seeking a Maintenance Manager to join our growing team.

 

The Opportunity

As a Maintenance Manager at JELD-WEN, you will be responsible for the day-to-day activities involving the maintenance of the facility, production equipment, a wood fired boiler, a gas fired boiler, all facility systems, rolling stock, and support equipment. This position supervises, trains, and coordinates the activities of the maintenance team. You will report directly to the Plant Manager.

 

This is an onsite role and is based in our Craigsville, WV facility.

 

What You Will Do

  • Prepares work schedules, assigns work, and oversees the work product in accordance with JELD-WEN’s Mission Statement, goals and objectives, and KEY Performance Indicators (KPI’s).
  • Develops and maintains a preventative maintenance program for applicable machinery and equipment, and the building and grounds within the confines of an annual budget, and tracks maintenance downtime.
  • Arranges for, coordinates, and manages appropriate third-party contractor support as needed. Will work with PM, Production Team, and Engineering personnel as needed.
  • Works with management to prepare maintenance budget and secures estimates and cost quotes as needed pertaining to maintenance needs and capital projects.
  • Maintains up-to-date records for equipment based local, state, and federal mandates and inspections.
  • Exhibits and expect sound safety and housekeeping practices.
  • Prepares and maintains maintenance reports/records. Make improvement recommendations where applicable.
  • Provides training for new and existing employees as directed by the PM.
  • Conduct performance evaluations.
  • May perform other duties as directed by the PM or Production Manager.

 

Who You Are

  • College degree in a related maintenance field and five (5) to ten (10) years’ experience in a manufacturing/industrial environment.
  • An equivalent combination of education/trade schooling, certifications, and experience may be substituted for a college degree at the discretion of management.
  • One (1) to three (3) years personnel supervisory experience is preferred for this position.
  • A working knowledge with strong trouble shooting skills in mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
  • Fluent experience with PLCs, VFDs, and HMI software such as Wonderware is highly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of plant/OSHA health and safety standards and compliance, and a fundamental understanding of applicable governmental regulations.
  • Knowledge of maintenance programs as they relate to plant and corporate KPI’s, inclusive of SQDCI, TPS, and Continuous Improvement activities and initiatives.

  • Must be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment, and work effectively as a team player throughout the plant with individuals and various plant teams.
  • Solid computer skills, Network experience, including Microsoft Office and position applicable software applications.
