JELD-WEN is currently seeking a Cost Accounting Manager to join our growing team.




The Cost Accounting Manager ensures that costs for the company’s products and services are allocated according to corporate procedures and in compliance with financial accounting standards. Oversees the cost control systems, manages, and interprets cost audits, and prepares cost accounting reports for presentation to top management. This cost accounting manager will be a key leader in developing standard costs across our US Divisions. Being a Cost Accounting Manager gathers historical cost data (materials, labor, depreciation, operating expenses, etc.), to compare budgets with actual expenses. Manages the cost accounting staff to complete projects. Essential duties of the Cost Accountant Manager include but are not limited to:


  • Be a Change Management Champion, to help facilitate and train users during the launch of a standard cost environment. 
  • Design and implement cost accounting system for the US Window & Doors divisions.
  • Partner with IT to develop standard reporting for business partners to help analyze data and drive decision making.
  • Educate and train non-financial team members on how to interact with the new standard cost environment.
  • Develop cost standards for material and labor.
  • Analyzing production costs and recommending changes
  • Assist month-end close of general ledger.
  • Analyze costs of materials, processes, and labor to determine opportunities and methods for reduction of production and inventory costs.
  • Develop and/or update accounting and operational process and procedures documentation around the inventory management and costing processes.
  • Hiring, training and supervising cost and inventory accounting staff





  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or relevant discipline required.
  • Minimum two to three years of experience in a finance or accounting at a manufacturing company and /or public accounting.
  • Has a fundamental understanding of accounting concepts including the interrelation of the income statement, balance sheet and cash flow statement.
  • Excellent verbal and writing skills including ability to interact effectively with all levels throughout the company.
  • Team player who is organized, a self-starter and pays attention to detail.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Experience with SAP, HFM/Hyperion/OneStream consolidation tools and data analytics tools (Power BI) preferred.
