Material Handler

Position:  Material Handler

Department/Team: Reports to Production Supervisor

Shift (if applicable): Day Shift

JELD-WEN is a leading global designer, manufacturer and distributor of high-performance interior and exterior doors, windows and related building products serving the new construction and repair and remodeling sectors.

Depending on assignment, our team members may do any of the following duties: 

• Operating propane and/or electric forklift vehicles
• Perform start of shift preventative maintenance inspection
• Assist in inventory cycle counts as needed
• Material preparation and material handling
• Other general warehouse duties as needed

• Gathers the necessary materials to support the assembly floor
• Assists in the assembly operations
• Detects and reports defective materials
• Labels finished products to match appropriate paperwork
• Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition
• Retrieve raw materials, semi-finished, and finished products for proper assembly
• Other general warehouse duties as needed
• Previous experience in a manufacturing or similar environment is preferred, but not required.
