JELD-WEN is currently seeking an Inside Sales Specialist to join our growing team.
The Opportunity
American Building Supply (ABS), a subsidiary of Jeld Wen, and one of the Nation’s largest wholesale suppliers of Doors, Door Hardware, Windows, and Millwork, currently has a position available for Commercial Inside Sales Representative for Commercial Doors and Hardware to join our talented team of door professionals. This person will work with an experienced and respected sales team representing and selling our extensive line of residential door products.

What You Will Do
- Maintain and oversee commercial product lines.
- Receive high volume of incoming telephone calls.
- Process and maintain customer orders.
- Maximize margin on sales.
- Provide price quotes and quote follow-up.
- Provide high level of customer service in answering customer inquiries and solving customer challenges.
- Use selling skills to convert sales inquiries to orders.
- Regularly reads trade publications and attends product knowledge (PK) seminars to stay current on industry trends and new product offerings in the Door and Hardware Market. Receive customer inquiries, investigate and follow up with customers in a timely manner.
- Participates as needed in special department projects as determined by the Plant Manager, or other appropriate supervisory personnel.
- Maintains their assigned work areas and equipment in a clean and orderly condition
- Position may be located in and/or near the manufacturing portion of a facility, and thus follows prescribed safety regulations per plant and facility policies and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) guidelines. This includes, but is not limited to, the use of safety glasses, ear plugs, masks, and other appropriate safety equipment in order to be on the plant floor, and inside and outside of the plant facilities and grounds
- Performs all job duties in a safe and efficient/effective manner
- Reports unsafe conditions to appropriate supervision. Performs other duties as assigned by management
Who You Are
- 2-5 years of commercial door, frame, and hardware product knowledge.
- Sales and customer service experience.
- Intermediate computer skills (data entry, Outlook, Microsoft Office).
- Excellent work habits and ability to learn new skills.
- Positive outgoing attitude.
- Strong verbal communication skills.
- Self-motivated, goal oriented.
- Ability to work with others in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Ability to promote and maintain a TEAM atmosphere.
