Summary: Seeking a proven strategic sales leader in the door and window industry. The VP of Sales for The Home Depot will be responsible for increasing sales, profitability, and market share of company products with The Home Depot in the United Sates.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. 


  • Achieve revenue and support cost targets for The Home Depot. Analyze budget proposals and monitor expense performance.
  • Manage and prioritize direct sales team to generate and implement new sales and marketing initiatives to increase top line sales and profitability for both JELD-WEN and The Home Depot.
  • Create short and long-term account strategies to grow current business, obtain new business and successfully penetrate under-developed markets.
  • Understand and communicate The Home Depot metrics and processes while developing strategies that are win-win for both companies.
  • Develop and sustain relationships across functions and up and down The Home Depot organization.
  • Collaborate with internal cross-functional partners and THD to manage all aspects of the business including:
    • Channel strategy, product road maps
    • Product line review strategy / preparation
    • POS data analytics, profitability analysis
    • Marketing / commercialization planning and execution
    • Sales forecasting
    • SIOP / demand planning / store inventory management
    • Space planning / line structures / regional assortments
    • Promotional planning
    • Pro-growth strategy /. HD Pro
    • E-Commerce /
    • Install programs / HDE
  • Coordinate with the territory field team to develop, prioritize and drive execution of key initiatives. Utilize the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) program to plan activities, manage accounts, manage contacts, identify and track opportunities, manage leads and communicate pertinent information. Develop and maintain relationships with THD regional merchants.
  • Utilize external data to provide and continuously improve sales forecast. Collaborate with The Home Depot and JELD-WEN cross functional teams to drive alignment and execution to demand plan.
  • Work with category management, sales team and The Home Depot to manage the product assortment and develop regional solutions
  • Develop ecommerce strategy to drive continued improvement, interconnected solutions and growth
  • Manage all product pricing, programs and rebates.
  • Manage projects, requests for information and any other business items as requested by leadership.
  • Responsible for the development and succession planning for the team supporting The Home Depot



  • 5+ years of experience in the Door (primarily) and Window industry. Must have a good understanding of the products and regional / pro preferences.
  • 10+ years of experience leading a team that sells to THD or Lowe’s.
  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or minimum of ten years related sales experience and/or training preferably in the window and door industry; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Ability to manage a field sales team effectively.
  • Ability to analyze customer point of sales and external data to understand trends and make recommendations for improvements.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills. Has the courage to have the tough discussions and come to a solution that works for the customer and JELD-WEN.
