The Talent Acquisition Coordinator will be a key member of the North American Talent Acquisition team and will provide support and coordination efforts for all recruiting related activities. This role will report directly to our Talent Acquisition Manager, Corporate and support both the professional Global/Corporate & Operations Talent Acquisition teams. This role will be based out of Charlotte, NC and requires 1-3 days in the office. 


Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assumes ownership of interview scheduling for all professional roles.
  • Coordination of all candidate travel.
  • Continues to develop and implement continuous improvement ideas to improve the candidate and stakeholder experience.
  • Manages the reconciliation and cost allocation activities associated with invoice billings received that are directly linked to and associated with Talent Acquisition related costs.
  • Assumes ownership of pre-employment screening process. Conducts and coordinates activities associated with pre-employment background screenings including, criminal records, driving records, and drug screenings. Responsible for following up on results when delayed and seeks guidance from department leader when there are pre-employment results that require further review.
  • Maintains applicant/employee confidentiality in accordance with our data protection policy and procedure.
  • Partners with our Talent Development team on the coordination of new hire processing including, JELD-WEN Culture Kits, day one administration, and new hire paperwork.
  • Provides excellent customer service to external and internal candidates to ensure a positive candidate experience.
  • Communicate effectively and confidently to stakeholders at all levels.


Desired Education and Experience

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience within a Talent Acquisition or Human Resources role.
  • Experience working in an HRIS platform. SAP/PeoplePoint desired.
  • Provides strong attention-to-detail regarding daily tasks, projects, and troubleshooting.
  • Ability to work in a fact paced environment capable of independently managing workload and balancing priorities.
  • A positive attitude with a solution focused approach to challenges that arise.
  • General knowledge of HR policy, processes & procedures.
  • Experience initiating and managing complex travel schedules for executives, visitors, etc.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook and Power Point)
