JELD-WEN is currently seeking a Summer Internship 2025 - Logistics, CLT, NC to join our growing team.

ABOUT THE ROLE

The JELD-WEN Summer Internship Program empowers talented undergraduate students to gain real-world working experience and professional development. This position is in our Logistics business area. The internship program includes meaningful projects and challenging work assignments geared at developing professional competencies and skills in a chosen discipline. Additionally, throughout the summer internship, participants will have the opportunity for professional development, mentoring, and networking opportunities to help enhance future leadership.

WHAT YOU’LL DO        

Examples of opportunities the Logistics Interns will have include (but are not limited to):

• Work with a diverse team excited to transform Logistics Operations at JELD-WEN
• Support commercial activities within assigned modes of transportation which include carrier selections, negotiating rates and contracts, and performing RFQs
• Gain exposure to different areas of Operations (Supply Chain, Sourcing, etc.)
• Gain insight into an enterprise initiative to centralize the logistics function
• Cross functional collaboration with Finance, IT and other business functions
• Learn about the carrier onboarding process and relationship management
• Support the development of policies and procedures; coordinate and communicate applicable changes to carriers
• Have an opportunity to visit a plant and see how the work of the logistics team supports the overall manufacturing life cycle

SKILLS, EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE

Required:

• Currently enrolled rising junior or senior students majoring in: Logistics, Supply Chain Management or Operations Management
• Demonstrated work ethic and detail-orientation
• Project management, collaboration and communication skills
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
• Ability and willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment and work to a high caliber.
• An entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to take initiative and show curiosity

Recommended:

• Minimum GPA 3.0
• Leadership experience and relationship-building skills.
• Relevant internship or previous work experience is desired
