Summer Intern 2024 - Human Resources

JELD-WEN is currently seeking a Summer Intern 2024 - Human Resources to join our growing team.

ABOUT THE ROLE

              The JELD-WEN Summer Internship Program empowers talented undergraduate students to gain real-world working experience and professional development in one of six potential business areas. This position is focused on the Human Resources business area. The internship program includes meaningful projects and challenging work assignments geared at developing professional competencies and skills in a chosen discipline. Additionally, throughout the summer internship, participants will have the opportunity for professional development, mentoring, and networking opportunities to help enhance future leadership.

WHAT YOU’LL DO          

In the past, our interns have had the opportunity to:

• Run compensation, headcount, and other daily reports.
• Edit job description titles within the NA Sales division to promote a clearer path of internal mobility.
• Support early career recruitment through creation of marketing materials.
• Create an onboarding template to support new hires in the rotational program.
• Support the early career team in recruitment strategizing.
• Update internship and rotational program job descriptions.
• Work to improve new hire onboarding practices.
• Engage cross functionally with other functions in the US and globally. 

SKILLS, EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE

Required

• Demonstrated work ethic and detail-orientation.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
• Organizational skills.
• Ability and willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment and work to a high caliber.
• Collaboration and teamwork.
• Leadership experience and relationship-building skills.
• Relevant major or academic work completed.

Recommended

• Rising Senior students (current Juniors)
• Minimum GPA of 3.0
• Relevant internship or previous work experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
