Summer Intern 2024 - Finance

JELD-WEN is currently seeking a Summer Intern 2024 - Finance to join our growing team.

ABOUT THE ROLE

              The JELD-WEN Summer Internship Program empowers talented undergraduate students to gain real-world working experience and professional development in one of six potential business areas. This position is focused on the Finance business area. The internship program includes meaningful projects and challenging work assignments geared at developing professional competencies and skills in a chosen discipline. Additionally, throughout the summer internship, participants will have the opportunity for professional development, mentoring, and networking opportunities to help enhance future leadership.

WHAT YOU’LL DO          

In the past, our interns have had the opportunity to:

• Conduct a highly researched SWOT Analysis.
• Update and create financial documents collected globally.
• Keep documents up to date for the current quarter.
• Send correspondence to plant managers to gather data needed for government filings.
• Create financial presentations to update senior leadership and investors of our current position.
• Attend regular meetings regarding RIE and quarterly reports.
• Analyze plant performance by comparing forecasts to actuals and provide suggestions.
• Become familiar with Enterprise Sales and Operations Planning.
• Supply other functions with financial information per specific requests.

SKILLS, EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE

Required

• Demonstrated work ethic and detail-orientation.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
• Organizational skills.
• Ability and willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment and work to a high caliber.
• Collaboration and teamwork.
• Leadership experience and relationship-building skills.
• Relevant major or academic work completed.

• Rising Senior students (current Juniors)
• Minimum GPA of 3.0
• Relevant internship or previous work experience.
