JELD-WEN is currently seeking a Sr. Product Manager to join our growing team.

 

 

Summary

The Sr. Product Manager is a key role within JELD-WEN, responsible for managing the development, strategy, and lifecycle. This role will focus on Specialty Windows Product Category (including critical window components, Glass and Packaging). The role requires a combination of business acumen, market research, operations understanding, and strong communication skills. The Sr. Product Manager will work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, operations, supply chain, marketing, sales, and customer support, to ensure the successful delivery of products that meet customer needs and drive business growth.

 

Key Responsibilities

Product Strategy and Planning:

  • Own P&L of Specialty Windows with focus on Multifamily New Construction Business.
  • Define vision, goals, and roadmap based on market research, competitive analysis, and customer insights.
  • Collaborate with marketing for market research to identify customer needs, market trends, and opportunities for product innovation.
  • Collaborate with cross functional stakeholders to align product strategy with overall business objectives.
  • Develop and maintain a product roadmap, prioritizing features and enhancements based on business value and customer impact.

 

Product Development and Management:

  • Develop strategies for Glass and Packaging to ensure success of Windows product line.
  • Work closely with engineering and marketing teams to define product requirements and features for New Product Development.
  • Manage Product lifecycle from ideation to launch, including product positioning, pricing, and go-to-market strategies.
  • Monitor and analyze product performance metrics, user feedback, and market trends to identify opportunities for product enhancements and updates.

 

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure successful product development.
  • Partner with marketing and channel teams to develop product messaging, positioning, and go-to-market strategies.
  • Support sales teams for product training, sales collateral, and participating in customer-facing activities.
  • Collaborate with customer support teams to address product-related issues, gather feedback, and drive product improvements.

 

Stakeholder Management:

  • Engage and communicate with key stakeholders, including executives, team members, customers, and partners.
  • Present strategies, product updates, and business cases to stakeholders, and obtain buy-in and support.
  • Act as a product evangelist, effectively communicating the value proposition and benefits of the product to internal and external audiences.
  • Build strong relationships with customers, gather feedback, and incorporate customer insights into product planning and development.

 

Market and Competitive Analysis:

  • Monitor market and competitor activities in new construction/ repair & remodel industry to identify opportunities and threats.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends, and best practices relevant to doors and windows.
  • Conduct competitive analysis to understand product positioning, differentiation, and pricing strategies.
  • Leverage market insights to make data-driven decisions and recommendations for product enhancements and new feature development.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or a related field. MBA is a plus.
  • Proven experience as a Product Manager for minimum 5 years, with a track record of successfully launching and managing products.
  • Strong business acumen, with the ability to understand market dynamics, customer needs, and competitive landscape.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Collaboration and team-oriented mindset, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Familiarity with product management tools, such as product roadmap, project management, and analytics platforms and financial KPIs such as Standard Cost, Margin, Profitability, EBITDA.
