Summary:  

The Sr Marketing Manager is responsible for leading and executing integrated demand generation campaigns by employing the right mix of inbound, outbound, social media, event, PR and paid media strategies to build and optimize the lead-to-opportunity funnel. The candidate will have a strong project management orientation and be agile in coordinating cross-functional delivery and support of campaigns. The right person for this role has a strong understanding of digital and B2B marketing fundamentals and working closely with agency partners, internal creative teams, marketing, sales, and channel teams. A player-coach, this person will lead the brand marketing team to execute a diverse portfolio of demand generation and other brand-related initiatives. What will set the winning tech-savvy candidate apart will be a proven record of attending to details, a passion for creating campaign and sales support content, exceptional organizational and follow-through skills and enjoy working both collaboratively and independent.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.  Other duties may be assigned:

  • Create, execute and report on targeted multi-channel, multi-touch demand generation programs that leverage both inbound, outbound, event, PR and social media tactics to drive traceable MQLs and SQLs in support of revenue goals and strategic priorities.
  • Generate, nurture, qualify, and track leads through online and offline campaigns including content marketing, email, SEO/SEM, live events, advertising and content syndication.
  • Continuously evaluate demand generation initiatives and programs to find opportunities to improve (increase lead quality, conversion, etc.)
  • Leverage industry data and analytics to understand and segment target audience into personas, and build associated journey maps to maximize campaign effectiveness
  • Create and execute integrated, persona-based content plan to support campaign initiatives (nurture streams, inbound, social, etc.).  Regularly monitor and measure marketing program effectiveness, and report on program status. Track and report CRM utilization and pipeline health in Salesforce/related platforms, including creating and updating campaign dashboards and page configurations as needed.
  • Develop and execute on the company’s social media strategy and campaigns, including developing an editorial calendar, editing of social content, development of social media campaigns, community management and engagement, PR and social advertising.
  • Lead brand marketing team as player-coach, providing direction and oversight as well as direct contribution to tactical execution of outbound marketing activity
  • Work with agencies and internal SME in creating content to support demand generation as well as both internal and external agency partners to produce landing pages, email assets, ad copy to support the execution of campaigns.
  • Coordinate marketing plan with the agencies and internal creative services teams to ensure timely and accurate delivery of all campaign elements while managing budget numbers.
  • Manage outbound marketing budget and ensure proper forecasting and stewardship of company assets

 

Qualifications and Skills

 

  • Minimum of 5-10 years of experience in B2B/B2C marketing.
  • Minimum 4 years experience marketing management 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or related discipline
  • Hands-on experience with Salesforce.com
  • Knowledge of marketing related practices including market research, technology, media planning and budgeting.
  • Demonstrated history of planning successful product launches and events.
  • Proven ability to plan and execute both large and small marketing projects and initiatives.
  • Effective communication skills and adaptable communication style for interacting with team members, leadership, and internal customers.
  • Experience in digital marketing, engaging and growing B2B audiences online, including but not limited to on Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube, blogs and digital advertising.
  • Experience with supporting integrated event and digital programs.
  • Strong analytics: Candidate must understand how to measure the effectiveness of marketing efforts and generate reports and presentations. Utilize analytics in development of ideas and strategies to increase demand of products and services.
  • Thrive in a fast-paced environment; excel at handling multiple concurrent projects, and agile to reprioritize activities frequently. 
  • Demonstrated use of best practices around campaign creation, execution, lead nurturing and scoring.
