JELD-WEN is currently seeking a Sr. Manager, Compensation to join our growing team.

 

The Senior Manager, Compensation and Global Mobility will lead the global compensation team at JELD-WEN. The position will oversee the effective design and delivery of compensation plans and solutions across the organization. The incumbent will advise on a range of processes with the potential to impact employees world-wide. This role also includes a broader focus on global mobility to manage international assignees. This is a unique opportunity to formalize and bring structure to JELD-WEN’s global mobility program. The incumbent will utilize in-depth professional knowledge with a focus on implementing and executing strategies within the department and team.

 

Principle Duties and Responsibilities:

 

Compensation Strategy

  • Ensure compensation fundamentals and best practices are utilized to assess and maintain competitive compensation programs aligned to the company compensation philosophy.

 

Business Partnership

  • Build strategic relationship with global HR leadership team to assess regional business needs and help advance compensation goals.
  • Partner with Head of Compensation & Benefits in Europe and Australasia to drive global processes with oversight of localization necessary by region(s).
  • Partner with Centers of Excellence (Talent Acquisition, Talent Management) on HR projects to ensure alignment of internal processes to compensation principles.

 

Compensation Operations

  • Manage annual compensation planning process and ensure equitable delivery of salary, bonus, and long-term incentive awards, including multiple cycles year-round to support Europe’s various collective bargaining agreements.
  • Conduct pay-equity assessments in support of the company’s ESG initiatives.
  • Provide compensation consulting to Sales Operations on the design of sales incentive programs.
  • Manage work of senior compensation analyst and participants in the Early Career Rotational Program.

 

Technology

  • Lead annual review of SAP SuccessFactors Compensation Module to ensure proper design and utilization in support of the compensation planning process, includes partnership with HRIS team.
  • Lead annual review of PayScale MarketPay to ensure integrity of salary, job, and market data.
  • Conduct stock compensation controls via reporting from Morgan Stanley Shareworks.

 

Training & Development

  • Build and enhance global compensation training materials for utilization across all regions, including the development of e-learnings for newly launched Learning Management System.
  • Deliver annual compensation training to North America Managers and HR.

 

Global Mobility

  • Build standard operating procedures and standard work to support the company’s business needs for international assignments.
  • Create, and advise on, consistent process to drive compliance, cost efficiencies, and excellence.
  • Mange vendor relationships with global mobility providers.
  • Provide ongoing support to international assignees
  • Manage and report on assignment costs and recommend improvements to the program

 

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

 

  • Advanced knowledge and acumen in compensation and global mobility principles, programs, and practices
  • Advises on, and implements, process changes for relevant legislative updates
  • Ability to learn systems and technology with comfort in back-end processing
  • Strong communication skills, in writing correspondence and presenting information individually or in group situations to customers, clients, and employees in the organization
  • Skilled in building effective working relationships by taking a customer-focused approach
  • Exemplary ability to analyze and report on data/programs to inform management decision making
  • Excellent project management skills including time management, decision making and organizational skills
  • Commitment to own professional development

 

Education and Experience:

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience / education
  • Deep experience in compensation (ie at least 7+ years or equivalent expertise)
  • Expertise in global mobility (ie managed existing programs and international assignments)
  • System administrator experience with SAP SuccessFactors Compensation Module
  • Systems experience including data management and reporting
  • CCP accredited coursework

Expected pay for this role is between $121,100.00 to $201,900.00 per year and is based on experience and qualifications.
