Purpose of the role (Summary)

The JELD-WEN Global Learning and Development Team is responsible for leading the integrated learning & development strategy, related platforms and a broad learning eco-system which allows employees to build the skills and capabilities they need to help the business drive profitable and sustainable growth.

Reporting to the Director, Global Learning, this position is responsible for the full lifecycle management of business learning solutions within an assigned area(s) of the business covering multiple job families and/or business functions. 

 

Responsibilities

  • Works with external vendors and internal resources to lead the delivery of complex, global learning programs whether those be ILT, VILT, e-learning, VR/AR etc.
  • Manages learning and development vendor relationships including overall process of selection, onboarding, and delivery.
  • Leads communication of complex learning offerings and strategy across single or multiple divisions, the wider HR community, and global learning community as applicable.
  • Curates content from internal and external sources into learning paths aligned with jobs and/or skills and capabilities in collaboration with senior stakeholders.
  • Uses advanced instructional design principles to develop programs specifically tailored to the needs of the business using both internal resources and external support as needed in the creation of cutting edge and state of the art blended programs.
  • Monitors and manages learning program budgets, metrics, and measurements for assigned programs.
  • Leads continual process and service improvements for Global Learning.
  • Serves as member of the global team with responsibility for content curation.
  • Creates and maintains customer relationship management (CRM) methodology to be utilized by Learning consultants for business development.
  • Analyzes and leads the development of the overall global learning portfolio in alignment with strategic people development and business goals.
  • Drives collaboration across the key stakeholder communities to identify and define learning gaps.
  • Troubleshoots and resolves complex business problems with local business divisions or globally.
  • Identifies resource needs and influences the fulfillment of such needs.
  • Drives innovation when applying professional principles, concepts, theories, and technologies to a wide range of adult learning challenges to ensure program applicability, effectiveness and scalability.
  • Directs Learning Administrators in the coordination of assigned programs and projects.

 

REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Education, Communications, or related training field
  • 10+ years of professional experience in learning, learning management and/or instructional design.
  • Demonstrated understanding and application of adult learning theory and multiple delivery methods.
  • Experience managing the end-to-end delivery of complex learning solutions for large scale implementations.
  • Experience working with distributed workforce in manufacturing environment or related industry.
  • Proven track record of developing, implementing, and executing a broad portfolio of training and development initiatives.
  • Excellent strategic, interpersonal, consulting, and communication skills across diverse businesses, cultures, and levels of leadership
  • Ability to effectively navigate across different organizational boundaries globally and work in a cross-functional team environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a Center of Excellence (COE) and partner closely with HR Business partners and business line managers on learning needs.
  • Working knowledge of various LMS platforms and comfortableness with how to leverage technology to drive behavior change though blended programs.
