JELD-WEN is currently seeking a Sr. HR Generalist to join our growing team.

 

THE ROLE  

 

As a valued member of the North America Corporate HR team, the Sr. HR Generalist is a trusted advisor and thought partner to business leaders across the Corporate Functions, responsible for providing comprehensive HR support in the areas of employee relations, recruitment, compensation, employment law/compliance, organizational effectiveness, talent management, and training and development.  

 

This position is located in Charlotte, NC and reports to the HR Director, NA Corporate Functions.

 

Principle Duties and Responsibilities 

 

  • Promote and develop positive employee relations by providing direct HR support to the North America corporate function.
  • Resolve and address all employee questions and concerns by partnering with client area leadership team.  
  • Collaborates with client area in implementation of required programs and processes to establish and maintain a positive work environment. 
  • Partners with Talent Acquisition and hiring managers in recruitment efforts for exempt and nonexempt employees. 
  • Participates, as needed, in special department projects as determined by the HR Director, NA Corporate
  • Support change initiatives partnering with HR leader to move the organization effectively through transformation such as growth and process improvement.
  • Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks, and ensuring regulatory compliance. 
  • Effectively deploys performance management and rewards programs to drive required levels of employee accountability for desired performance results. 
  • Analyzes trends and metrics in partnership with the leadership team to develop solutions.
  • Acts as a Culture Champion.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

  • Must be flexible and able to manage multiple priorities. 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must have the ability to maintain the highest degree of integrity and confidentiality. 

Education and Experience 

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field.  
  • 2 - 5 years of HR Generalist experience
  • Experience handling and resolving a wide range of employee issues.
